Jn 1:19-28 St. John the Baptist's answer, should also be our answer: “I am the voice of one crying out in the desert, Make straight the way of the Lord"
St. John the Apostle tells us (1Jn 2:22-28): "the anointing that you received from Him remains in you, so that you do not need anyone to teach you. But His anointing teaches you about everything and is true and not false"
The "What" is we are to evangelize, by being a voice crying out in the Spiritual desert of this world.
The "How" is by trusting in our Baptismal anointing. Through baptism we share in Christ's threefold mission as priest, prophet and king.
The "Who" is Jesus, “He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” (Mt 3:11)
Trusting in our anointing and recognizing His voice, through meditation, will enable us to "remain in Him, so that when He appears we may have confidence and not be put to shame by Him at his coming."
St Basil the Great and Gregory Nazianzen, pray for us
